Who we are

Started by Roy Wunderlich in 2023 where he took his passion and love for excellent coffee which was fueled by years of developing 100’s of fine coffee shops, and started his hobby of craft roasting coffee beans.

The evolution of his roasting process was started with a Whirly Pop popcorn maker over a simple hotplate electric burner, graduating to a propane and fry pan set-up, and today the roasting set up is a commercial grade machine, in a beautiful (out of the weather) roasting lab.

Gorge-Life Roasters is a small batch coffee roasting enterprise which celebrates the beauty of The Gorge and the active lifestyles of its people.

Gorge-Life Roasters custom roasts specialty grade, single-origin coffees from around the world.

Our beans are roasted with a commercial-grade “Fluid-Bed” roaster, which allows us to precisely select the cooking temperature, bean temperature time, and frequency of loft to bring out the very best in the coffee bean.

Gorge-Life Roasters coffee is homemade in accordance with Oregon’s Cottage Food Operator law (SB643).  We operate under a current Food Handlers Certification #1i8116-k534bdi.

A portion of the sale price of 12oz pouch will be donated to charitable causes throughout the Columbia River Gorge area.
